Masha Titova and Roma Manikhin
October 7th / 15:00 — 18:00
In the workshop you have a wonderful opportunity to experiment with different printing techniques. This can be monotype, stencil prints, cardboard prints or other techniques suggested by artists. We will start with an appliqué exercise using black paper, which will help us to choose a suitable technique for subsequent printing. We will print on different formats and materials like paper, newspaper, fabric. So, if you want to print on clothes, bring some with you. We suggest both blank and bright-colored or patterned clothes that are not too thick, like blouses, T-shirts, and shirts (maybe from a second-hand for experimenting). We'll use water-based and etching paint, which works great on paper and decently on fabric, but the paint on clothes will fade after five to seven washes.
The theme of the workshop is chimera and totem animals. You'll create 3-7 copies of one print in this workshop.
