Spend a day carving one of the oldest everyday objects — a wooden spoon. The course lasts a full 5 hours. Starting from a prepared blank, you will shape the spoon using carving knives and gouges before refining the handle and bowl. Along the way you will learn the principles of functional carving and how to create elegant proportions. By the end of the workshop you will take home a handmade spoon ready for final oiling.
